ERAD EMERGENCY RADIO ACCESS DEVICES BY SITTI

13/5/2022 As part of the modernisation and upgrade of the ATC (Air Traffic Control) infrastructure used by DHMI, the Turkish ANSP (Air Navigation Service Provider), SITTI will also supply a significant number so-called Emergency Radio Access Devices (ERAD), as last resort resources for the access to remote transceivers. These devices are air traffic control terminals, designed by SITTI as a powerful, flexible and cost-effective solution to ensure continuity of radio and telephone communications in the event of an emergency. Thanks to its all-in-one architecture, it is completely independent of the existing VCS network and is able to guarantee reliable communication with remote devices, even if the main system is out of order. ERAD consists of an integrated operative position and associated electro-acoustical devices (PTT, microphone, loudspeaker), giving access to communication features through a 7 inch touchscreen panel, through which the operator can connect to any local and remote radio and telephone device. Thanks to ERAD positions by SITTI, DHMI is equipped with a reliable emergency and contingency solution, thus guaranteeing continuity of service, even in case of emergency and/or catastrophic events. SITTI is a world leader in Air Traffic Control (ATC), focusing on Voice Communication Systems (VCS) and ancillary equipment. The company has got a strong market position in Turkey, thanks to the SMART and Istanbul New Airport projects.

JOTRON NEW RADIO TR-910

Jotron announces the release of the compact and portable TR-910 Multipurpose VHF Airband Radio. TR-910 is available in a variety of configurations to meet the demands of the ATC, oil and gas industries. 11th October 2021 – Jotron radios have a worldwide reputation for outstanding performance in harsh environmental conditions. With a total weight of 1.95 kilo, TR-910 is a compact high-quality radio for all areas where portability is a key factor. TR-910 can be a last resort radio, the main radio in e.g. helidecks, set in a desktop, vehicle mounted or carried in a bag. The mechanical design and upgraded architecture of TR-910 is based on the well proven Jotron VHF and UHF radios. It is fully VoIP-compliant according to ED-137c and TR-910 meets or outperforms all radio requirements specified in ETSI EN300676 and EN301489 (EMC). TR-910 uses a standard connector for headsets and microphone and has output for recording in compliance with ED-137. Thus, this radio can easily interface with record and replay systems, like e.g., Jotron Ricochet recorder, remote control systems, monitoring systems and even a VCS.
